Tails would NEVER...EVER want to join Shadow...for one thing, Sonic has been like his older brother for most of his life. Another thing. Shadow is the cliche 'I'm so dark, I'm so evil. Angst rules my existance.' and then in the first game he appeared in *SPOILERS FOR SONIC ADVENTURE BATTLE 2*....he suddenly remembers. "Oops! I didn't promise to kill all humans! I promised to give them a chance!" and speeds off to undo what he did.
.... I swear they made him purely out of cliche's. so, not only is Sonic like Tails' older brother. Shadow's just a rather...odd character. I like him...I appreciate that they're attempting to go a new direction. But I like sonic and the original crew much more. Metal sonic. (or Mecha Sonic, whicchever you prefer) was a much better alter ego. Because he truly did work for Doctor Robotnik. (I refuse to call him Eggman....I swear that's the most idiotic name I've ever heard.)
